Danielle, LCSW Is an Illinois girl who credits her alma mater, the University of Illinois with launching her into the world of serving others and the community. There she earned her Bachelors of Social Work, then went on to earn her Masters of Social Work at Florida International University. She was first licensed in Florida, then became licensed in North Carolina where she built a thriving practice before returning to her home state of Illinois in 2013, again building a private practice.
Along her career path she has studied and earned certifications in Montessori Education (3 to 6 year olds), Hypnosis, Family & Divorce Meditation, Collaborative Divorce & EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique). Danielle began her career working with children, adolescents, & families in a variety of settings from outpatient/day treatment/residential to Hospital Crisis-Stabilization Units, to private practice. Her early specializations include substance disorders, animal assisted therapy & family counseling.
As her career evolved her focus turned to adults & couples. She currently specializes in separation/divorce, health related issues ranging from eating disorders, to the onset and management of medical diagnoses, mood disorders, womens’ issues and trauma. Danielle is a relationship therapist at heart. Fascinated with exploring self - mastery, growth, and change with in relationships, she is passionate about working with couples at every developmental stage from pre-marital to post-divorce. For over 25 years, Danielle has created a safe, non-judgmental space in which a strong therapeutic relationship is created to support clients’ growth and change. Her style is warm and inviting collaborative, and solution-focused.
Danielle was born and raised on the North Shore. She is married with two dog “kids,” loves anything outdoors & active, music, and books. She is also a natural food chef! Danielle is excited to be a part of Ray of Hope’s mission to facilitate and support healing, wellness and a meaningful life.
Our office participates in the following insurance plans; however, given that there are many variations of each policy, we request that the patient first check with his/her insurance carrier to verify coverage so as to avoid having to carry the financial burden of treatment directly.
