Torsten Nieminen, PA-C, began his career in business, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and International Business from Marquette University. After several years in the corporate world, he followed his passion for medicine, obtaining a Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from Marquette. His diverse background in business, emergency medicine, and behavioral crisis care gives him a well-rounded and compassionate approach to psychiatry.
At our Kenosha location, Torsten specializes in medication management and therapy for mood disorders, including depression and bipolar disorder, as well as anxiety, OCD, PTSD, psychotic disorders, and ADHD. He emphasizes collaborative, evidence-based care tailored to each patient's unique needs.
Torsten was drawn to psychiatry because it merges science with deep human connection. He finds great fulfillment in helping patients build resilience and reclaim their lives—whether through medication, therapy, or lifestyle changes. Outside of work, he enjoys training for triathlons and marathons, MMA, films, books, and spending quality time with family and friends. Trinity Rausch holds a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse and a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with an emphasis in trauma-informed care from Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, North Carolina. Before joining A Ray of Hope, Trinity worked at an outpatient behavioral health agency in North Carolina, where she provided therapy to individuals ages 4 to 78 facing challenges such as depression, anxiety, adjustment issues, ADHD, bipolar disorder, and grief. She also served in a school-based counseling role, splitting her time between a middle school and a high school to support students’ emotional and behavioral needs.
At A Ray of Hope, Trinity is a Licensed Professional Counselor, offering mental health counseling using an eclectic, individualized approach. She shows up first and foremost as an authentic and genuine human being, while also drawing from evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and psychoeducation around health and wellness. Trinity sees clients both virtually and in person at the Kenosha office. Her clinical focus includes working with individuals diagnosed with ADHD—particularly those with a late or previously misdiagnosed condition—and she has a strong interest in supporting women with ADHD. She also has training and experience in trauma-informed care and strives to create a safe, empathetic space where clients feel supported in their healing and growth.
Trinity is passionate about counseling because it allows her to hold space for those who need it most, offering empathy and support while helping clients achieve personal growth and meaningful change. Outside of work, Trinity is an active adventurer who enjoys rock climbing, traveling, and spending time outdoors with her four-year-old German Shepherd mix. She also recharges by reading fantasy novels, hammocking, and connecting with her loved ones—including four siblings who are all now living in the same area for the first time in six years.
